The first is that the node system is still in beta and those growing pains may include some of the more parametric material nodes. (I couldn’t open the images for some reason so they remain small thumbnails in the post – too small to see what’s going on) I’m going to take a stab at what it might be and it may help you along. Let me know if anyone that works with the new C4D node materials has had this problem or has any potential solutions. Like I said, this problem persists even with a fresh install of the program with default preferences. Please let me know if I am missing something, as I am new to working with Node based materials. Instead it is persistently a solid color, across every F:X type node. The output is neither properly previewed nor properly represented in the rendered material. Whenever I attempt to use any function based nodes, instead of returning the usual matrix of procedural color (1st image, taken in R21) (discovered when attempting to use a noise node) instead they return a solid color (image 2, taken inside built in Noise node view.) I have managed to recreate this problem in a fresh installation, a downgraded version, and even the newest updated R25 version, but this problem does not persist in my old R21 installation, where the feature works properly. Hello, I have encountered an issue when attempting to create new Node based materials through C4D’s built in node material system.
